Ssente Zange Privacy Policy
Effective date: 19 October 2026
Ssente Zange is a personal finance app for tracking spending, budgets, savings goals and investments. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Ssente Zange Android app.
The short version
- Your money records stay on your phone. If you turn on Google Drive backup, a copy is also kept in your own Google Drive. We do not have a server that stores them.
- You do not need an account to use Ssente Zange.
- There are no ads and no tracking or analytics tools in the app.
- We never sell your information.
Information you enter
The entries, budgets, goals, categories, accounts and investments you add are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. We cannot see them. If you use the app's Back up or Export buttons, Ssente Zange creates a file and hands it to Android's share menu; you choose where that file goes (for example Google Drive, email or WhatsApp), and that service's own privacy policy then applies.
Android's built-in backup may include Ssente Zange's app data in your personal Google account backup, if you have turned on device backup in your phone's settings. That backup is controlled by Google and your device settings, not by us.
Google Drive backup (optional)
If you choose Settings › Google Drive backup and sign in with Google, Ssente Zange saves a copy of your app data to the hidden app data folder in your own Google Drive. The app asks only for permission to that private folder (the drive.appdata scope). It cannot see, open or change any of your other Drive files, and other apps cannot see the Ssente Zange backup.
The backup is sent directly from your phone to Google over an encrypted connection. It never passes through, and is never stored on, any server of ours, and we cannot read it. Backups happen when you tap Back up now, when you close the app, and about every 4 hours when your phone is online, if automatic backup is on. You can stop at any time in the same screen. To delete the backup itself, open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings › Manage apps, find Ssente Zange and choose Delete hidden app data. Google's handling of your Drive is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Ssente Zange's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Daily reminder (optional)
If you turn on Settings › Daily reminder, the reminder notifications are created and scheduled on your phone itself. Nothing about them is sent to us or anyone else. Android asks your permission before the app can show notifications.
Subscriptions (Ssente Zange Pro)
If you subscribe to Ssente Zange Pro, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card, mobile money or bank details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives a random app user ID, your purchase receipts from Google Play and basic device information (such as app version and country) so it can confirm your subscription. It does not receive the financial records you enter in the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
Feedback
When you send feedback, Ssente Zange opens your own email app with a message ready to send. We receive only what you choose to send, along with your email address, and use it only to reply to you and improve the app.
Internet access
The app uses the internet only to back up to your Google Drive if you turn that on, to download currency exchange rates for the currency converter, to load subscription prices and confirm purchases, and to open links you tap (such as the Play Store or your email app). Rates are downloaded from ExchangeRate-API (with a backup source on jsDelivr). These requests do not include any of your financial records or personal details; like any website, those services can see your device's IP address. Exchange rates you type in yourself stay on your phone.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything at any time in Settings › Erase everything and start fresh. Uninstalling the app also deletes its data from your phone. To ask RevenueCat to delete subscription records linked to your app user ID, email us at the address below.
Children
Ssente Zange is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Ssente Zange handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
